Gerda Redl is an Austrian and European Patent Attorney, a Trademark and Design Attorney, and Representative before the Unified Patent Court (UPC), qualified as European Patent Litigator with a diploma from the University of Strasbourg. She is Sworn Certified Court Expert for patent affairs, in particular chemistry and biotechnology.

Dr. Gerda Redl is a patent attorney with more than 20 years’ experience in the life sciences industry. Her technical expertise is in the fields of biotechnology, biochemistry and chemistry including protein engineering, biologicals and small molecules, biomarkers, antibodies, alternative scaffolds and libraries. She graduated as a biochemist and received her Ph.D. in microbiology from the Technical University of Vienna.

Prior to founding REDL Life Science Patent Attorneys, she held senior management positions in biotech, mid-size pharma and big pharma companies. Over the course of more than 20 years of work in the life science industry she has built a strong network throughout Europe, the U.S.A., and Asia, including decision makers and gate keepers responsible for licensing and partnering..

Manuela Loidl is a European Patent Attorney and qualified as European Patent Litigator with a diploma from the University of Strasbourg.

Manuela Loidl is specialized in patent matters in the fields of biotechnology, biochemistry, microbiology and molecular biology.

Manuela Loidl is a molecular biologist graduated from the University of Vienna. For more than twenty years she was responsible for the IP portfolios at biotech and big pharma companies.

She is repeatedly acting as invited speaker at the European Patent Academy representing the European Association of Small and Medium-Sized Companies (UEAPME) and is lector at technical colleges and universities.

Birgitta Gassner is a European Patent Attorney with long-term industry experience in the fields of chemistry, biochemistry and biotechnology.

Birgitta Gassner graduated from the Technical University of Vienna as a biochemist. She is specialized in patent matters in the fields of chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology and the pharmaceutical industry. She is qualified as European Patent Litigator with a diploma from the University of Strasbourg.

Marita Preims is working with Gerda Redl and being trained as European and Austrian Patent Attorney. She holds an MBA in International Business and has an industry background as project manager. She studied biotechnology at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna. Her special expertise lies in the fields of microbiology, protein biochemistry, protein engineering and biocatalysis.

Christophe Laurent is being trained as European Patent Attorney. He holds a bachelor's degree in biology of the University of Liège, Belgium a master's degree in biology with a focus on plant-microbe interactions of the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, and PhD of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) in Vienna. He held postdoctoral positions at BOKU, University of Southern Denmark, and the University of Vienna. His special expertise lies in the fields of computational biochemistry and protein engineering.

Catarina Pontes is being trained as European Patent Attorney. She studied biochemistry at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon before joining IST Austria, where she completed her PhD in molecular neuroscience. Her area of special expertise includes protein labeling, imaging, and neurobiology.

Claudia Clemens is trademark specialist. She graduated as a Master of Public Administration (MPA).
